JUMENT GRISE, LA. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune has been recorded several times under different titles, and the first part is something of a 'floating strain' that has been attached to other parts, as well. Joseph Allard's "Reel de Peribonka" (1945) is cognate in both parts (reversed), as is Georges Frappier's "Set canadien (2)" (1921).
