BANKS OF THE COQUET.   English, Reel (cut time). England, Northumberland. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The dance band The Cheviot Ranters (1953-1996), based in Alnwick, Northumberland, used the tune as a vehicle for the Waltz Country Dance.
