MACCRIMMON'S LAMENT [2] ("Cumha Mhic Criomain" or "Cha tìl Mac Crimman"). AKA - "Cha till mi tuille," "Never more shall I return." Scottish, Slow Air (6/8 time). A Minor: E Dorian (MacDonald). Standard tuning (fiddle). One part (Martin/1988): AB (Martin/2002): AABBCCDD (Morison). The melody is a slow air for the pipes (adapted to the fiddle) and unrelated to the pibroch "MacCrimmon's Lament (1)." It is often associated with funerals^[1]
