"I wish I never saw you [4]" is yet another variation of these nearly identically named tunes, and is contained in vol. 1 of the large mid-19th century music manuscript collection of County Cork cleric and uilleann piper [[James Goodman (musicologist)|]]. Goodman researchers Hugh and Lisa Shields suggest a comparison with O'Neill's "Roving Blade (The)."
