This untitled jig was in the repertory of Métis fiddler Grandy Fagnan (c. 1902-1986) of Camperille, Manitoba, recorded in the field by researcher and fiddler Anne Lederman in the mid-1980's. Lederman notes that a version of a tune also heard in the Métis community of Ebb and Flow, Manitoba, especially from fiddler Walter Flett.
