FAIR ROSCOMMON POLKA.   Irish, Polka (2/4 time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.  "Fair Roscommon Polka" was recorded for Boston-based Copley Records in 1955 by the McNulty Family.  According to Evelyn Osborne[1] a Newfoundland variant of the tune is called "Paddy's Jig." The McNulty Family was well-known and highly regarded on the island, and influential due to their recordings. They toured Newfoundland in the early 1950's, and possibly learned the tune there.
