MISS CRAWFORD'S [REEL] [5].  Canadian, Reel (cut time).  Canada, Nova Scotia.  A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB.  "Miss Crawford's (Reel) [5]" was composed by amateur fiddler [[biography:James Barry|]] (1812-1905) of Pictou County, Nova Scotia, and appears in a small copybook of his compositions [1]. Barry was a skilled musician capable of difficult position playing.  He composed this reel as a companion piece to MacAlpin's "Miss Crawford's Strathspey".  See also "Miss Crawford's (Reel) (2)" for another companion reel to the strathspey.
