INCH ALONG. AKA and see "Nig Inch Along." Old-Time, Breakdown. The tune is sourced to Kentucky fiddler Luther Strong (1937) and, later, Bear Branch, Kentucky, fiddler James Crase, who was recorded in the field in August, 1960 (AFS 15059A). See also the related "Cotton Eyed Joe" and "Indian Nation."
