Tune properties and standard notation

IRISHMAN'S LOVE [2], THE. Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Printed in Ryan's Mammoth Collection of 1050 Reels and Jigs (1883), but deleted when that volume metamorphasized into Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes in 1940. Paul de Grae finds this tune to be a setting of O'Neill's "Sweet Biddy of Ballyvourney," also printed by Breathnach as "Tameen's Reel," and known as "Ceol na gCeártan" ("Music of the Forge (The)") in The Dance Music of Willie Clancy.
