Tune properties and standard notation

JEW'S RESTORATION, THE. English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody first appeared (as did many in Charles and Samuel Thompson's 1757 collection) in John Johnson's 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 7 (London, 1756). However, dance instructions for "The Jew's Restoration" appear in Peter Thompson's Twenty-Four Country Dances for the Year 1754.
