JOHN BOWE'S [2]. AKA and see "Dinny O'Brien's Reel (1)." Irish, Reel. D Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. The tune was associated by source O'Leary with Birr, County Offaly, B/C accordion player John Bowes, in England since 1965. It was a composition, however, of Paddy O'Brien of Nenagh, named after his father, Dinny. See also the related "Collier's Reel."

Source for notated version: accordion player Johnny O'Leary (Sliabh Luachra region of the Cork-Kerry border) [Moylan].

Printed sources: Moylan (Johnny O'Leary), 1994; No. 319, p. 182.
