BEAUX OF LONDON CITY [2]. English, Morris Dance Tune (irregular rhythm). A Major (Bacon): G Major (Mallinson). Standard tuning. AABB, x5. From Badby, Northhamptonshire, in England's Cotswolds. Cecil Sharp [Sharp & Butterworth, The Morris Book, Part V, p36, 1913] collected the dance and tune from Mr. Ephraim Cox, then aged 74, and the last surviving member of the Badby morris tradition (the team had disbanded forty years prior).
