ANNE DAWSON'S JIG. English, Jig. F Major. Standard. One part. The tune is dated to c. 1716 by its appearance in Anne Dawson's music manuscript book (now in the Manchester Library, England). Her book consists primarily of harpsichord music, including some pieces attributed to the Italian composer Vivaldi. It appears in the c. 1847 music manuscript collection of musician Ellis Knowles, Radcliffe, Lancashire.
