DAPHNE AND CORYDON. AKA and see "Tell me, Daphne," "Go no more a-rushing." English, Air (4/4 time). D Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCD. The air appears in Jane Pickering's Lute Book, the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book and a MS of virginal music that once belonged to Dr. Rimbault. The words to the air have been lost, but Chappell (1859) believes the tune "obviously intended for a dialogue."
