Back to Kaiser's Defeat Jig

KAISER'S DEFEAT JIG. American, Reel. USA, North Georgia. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Recorded by North Georgia/Tennessee fiddler Allan Sisson for Edison in the early 1920's. Despite the appellation 'jig', the tune is a slow breakdown (reel) or quick march or polka. It sounds to some ears as a version of the Kerry slide "Kaiser (The)."
