BONNIE BLUE-EYED LASSIE. Irish, Song Air. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. The song is rather obscure in the tradition (John Mouldon found one 19th century Scottish source for the lyrics in Crawfurd, albeit no tune), but was collected from Mrs. Elizabeth Cronin, Ballyvourney, County Cork, in th 20th century. It has been widely disseminated from that source, with numerous recorded versions extent. Lyrics begin:

How could I live on the top of a mountain
With no money in my pocket, nor gold for the counting
I would let the money go, all for to gain her fancy
For I would marry no one but, my bonny blue eyed Nancy.
