BONNY BRAES OF SKELMORLY, THE. AKA - "Bonny Braes of Skelmorlie." Scottish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Glen finds the tune first published in 1782 collection of blind amateur fiddle-composer John Riddell (1718‑95) of the family of Glencarnock (p. 44). Skelmorlie/Skelmorly is in Ayrshire.
