MISS FORBES' FAREWELL. AKA and see "Miss Forbes’ Farewell to Banff," "Mr. Rickets." Scottish, English; Reel or March. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Colclough, O’Farrell): AABB' (Kennedy, Raven): AA'B (Carlin). The tune was entered into the c. 1790 music manuscript copybook of fiddler George White (Cherry Valley, New York). Under the title "Mr. Rickets" it was published by Neil Stewart in his Selection of Favorite Airs as Performed at the Royal Circus Edinburgh and Sadlers Wells London No. 3 (1791).
