Composed by Scottish dancing master and musician Biography:Duncan MacIntyre, who may also have composed his "Miss MacIntosh’s Favourite" and "Miss MacIntosh’s Reel" for the same person. See also his "Mrs. MacIntosh of Blackheath’s Reel." The tune appears in London publisher Thomas Preston's Twenty-Four Country Dances for the Year 1804 under the title "Miss Trotter's Jig."
