G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune was recorded under the "Quadrille de chez nous" title by fiddler Joseph Allard [1] (1873-1947) in Montreal in 1928 for Victor records, although it has several names in Quebec repertoire. Isidore Soucy recorded a version very close to Allard's the later the same year under the title "Quadrille national 2ème partie." Many American fiddlers know the tune as "Glise à Sherbrooke", by which name is was frequently played at New England contra dances since the latter 20th century.

Joseph Allard
Allard recorded the reel again in 1945 under the title "Reel du Canada."
