ROSSIE HOUSE. Scottish, Double Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Rossie House" first appears in Aberdeenshire fiddler-composer Archibald Duff's collection of 1794. The melody was also entered into the 1840 music manuscript collection (p. 247) of multi-instrumentalist John Rook of Waverton, near Wigton, Cumbria. See "Rossie Castle" for more on "Rossie House".
