TAKE HER OUT AND AIR HER [2] (Tabhair amach agus taispeáin don saol í). AKA and see “Farewell to Leitrim,” "John Roy Stewart (1)," "Lawson's Favorite," "Reidy Johnson's (1)." Irish, Reel (4/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Not related to "Take Her Out and Air Her (1)." The reel was recorded in 1921 in New York by famed County Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman as the second tune in a medley entitled "Reidy Johnson's." Although the tune was properly called "Lawson's Favorite" (at least by Francis O'Neill, who printed it in 1903), the recording was so influential that both tunes have taken on the name "Reidy Johnson's" in the ensuing tradition.
