THERE'S NAE HARM DONE, GOODWIFE. Scottish, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. "There's nae harm done, Goodwife" was composed by biography:William Marshall (1748-1833), first printed in his 1781 collection (p. 7). Marshall biographer Moyra Cowie (1999) says the consoling-titled reel was the only tune Marshall dedicated to his wife, Jean Giles, whom he had married in 1773.
