A' BODY LOO'S ME. AKA and see "Everybody Love Me." Scottish, Reel and Country Dance Tune (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune with this exact title appears in the Bodleian MS (1740), written by fiddler and writing master David Young, Edinburgh, and can also be found Young's MacFarlane Manuscript Book II (c. 1741, p. 231). A generation later it was published in Edinburgh music publisher Neil Stewart's 1761 collection (p. 18), and in cellist-composer James Oswald's Caledonian Pocket Companion Book 6 (1760, p. 16). The reel is also contained in Young's earlier work, The Drummond Castle Manuscript, Part 2 (1734, No. 22) as "Everybody Loves Me."
