HENNIGAN'S FAVOURITE. AKA and see "Éireann Go Brách," "Johnny Leary's Jig," "Johnny O'Leary's (4)." Irish, Jig. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. Source O'Leary always paired this jig with "Tom Billy Murphy's," with "Jack Sweeney's" sometimes added as a third tune in the medley. See also the related "Éireann go Brách."

Source for notated version: accordion player Johnny O'Leary (Sliabh Luachra region of the Cork-Kerry border), who had the tune from a Co. Mayo accordion player by the name of Jim Hennigan around 1945-46 when they worked in the bogs of Kildare together [Moylan].
