Set in reel time, the tune is better known nowadays as "Reconciliation (The)," a close variant. O'Neill's source for the tune, although not cited, may have been Boston publisher Elias Howe's Musician's Omnibus No. 6 (1880-1882), where it also was printed as "Humphrey's Hornpipe [2]."
