BROOM ON CROWDEKNOWS [1], THE. English, Air (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. No relation to the usual tune known as "The Broom of Cowdenknowes" or "Broom, the Bonny, Bonny Broom," but is instead a song melody which appeared in 1780, set for guitar with words entitled "When Summer Comes the Swains on Tweed," as "sung at Sadlers Wells."
