HIGH ROAD TO GALWAY. AKA and see "Satin Slipper (1) (The)." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A version of "Satin Slipper (1) (The)," collected in Chicago from the playing of fiddler John McFadden. The tune was recorded in 1931 by the Siamsa Gaedheal Ceilidhe Band under the title “High Road to Galway.”
