IRISH NATION, THE (Cinead na n-Éirinn). Irish, Air (4/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. When Music of Ireland was published in 1903 there was no Irish nation, although the hope of independence remained strong. Francis O'Neill (1848-1936) lived to see birth of the Irish Free State, in 1922.
