JOLLY PEDLAR [3], THE (An Ceannaidhe Súgach). Irish, Air (2/4 time). C Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. There are some small similarities between this setting and "Jolly Pedlar (1) (The)." The melody originally appears in collector Edward Bunting's Ancient Irish Music (1840, p. 4) under the title "The Merchant's Daughter," although O'Sullivan notes this was a miss-translation of the original Irish.
Source for notated version: noted by Bunting in 1802 from one Kate Martin (County Cavan) [Bunting].
