McCORMACK'S. AKA and see "Newcastle Hornpipe (1)," "Prince Albert's Hornpipe (1)." Irish, Hornpipe. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle)). AABB. The tune was composed by Tyneside fiddler James Hill as the "Newcastle Hornpipe (1)," but musicians playing Irish music know it as "McCormack's," the title used for the hornpipe on Michael Coleman's 1936 recording.
