MIDWINTER WALTZ [2]. Scottish, Waltz. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'B". Composed in 1994 by Dave Richardson (Edinburgh, Scotland) of the Boys of the Lough, based on a favorite carol remembered from his youth, "In the Bleak Midwinter." Richardson was born in 1948 in Corbridge, Northumberland. Richardson played with the band for four decades before retiring in 2011.
