MISS CAMPBELL, LOCHEND. Scottish, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody was composed by Malcolm McDonald and appears in his first collection, dedicated to Mrs. Baird of Newbyth. MacDonald, of Dunkeld, Perthshire, played the violoncello as accompanist to Niel Gow after the death of the latter’s brother Donald. He published four collections altogether, although only the first is of his own tunes.
