MRS. THOMPSON OF GOFTON’S STRATHSPEY. AKA and see “Pibroch! (The),” “Whinham's Reel.” Scottish, Strathspey. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB’. A strathspey setting of “Whinham's Reel.” Robert Whinham (1814-1893) was a musician, teacher, composer, dancing master and fiddler, originally from Morpeth.
