MYOPIA HORNPIPE. AKA and see "Babbit's Hornpipe," "Smith's Hornpipe (2)." American, Hornpipe. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Myopia = nearsightedness. The tune appears twice in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) in nearly identical versions: as "Babbit's Hornpipe" and "Myopia Hornpipe."
