NAVVY ON THE LINE. AKA and see "Navvy on the Shore (1)," "Pride of Cloontia (The)." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See "Navvie on the Line" for the unrelated British hornpipe tune. The reel was recorded by the Bothy Band on their "First Album" (1975) with the title "Navvy on the Line," however, the title was confused with that of James Hill's hornpipe. The Irish reel should properly be "Navvy on the Shore (1)."
