OLD STILLHOUSE IS BURNING DOWN [3], THE. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Missouri. In the repertoire of fiddler, dulcimer player and singer Bill Graves. Unrelated to other "Old Stillhouse..." tunes. Graves sang the following verse to the tune (compare lyric with "Cider Mill," "Pretty Polly Ann" and "Shortening Bread"):

Put on the tea pot, put on the pan;
I'm going to marry you, pretty Polly Ann.
The old still house is all burnt down,
The old still house is all burnt down.

Missouri fiddler Bob Holt (who played a different "Old Stillhouse is all Burnt Down (1) (The)") played a closely related tune, "Lonesome Polly Ann."
