OVER THE ROAD TO MAYSVILLE [2]. Old-Time, Breakdown. A different tune than "Over the Road to Maysville (1)/"Maysville," and related to "Old Dubuque." Steven Green ("Berea Tune Lists," Tennessee Folklore Society Bulletin 57:2, 1995) [1]) thinks the title refers to the old Lexington-Maysville turnpike, a major commercial conduit in the 19th century. The tune was played by The Gully Jumpers on The Grand Old Opry, according to Kentucky fiddler Snake Chapman, who called his version "Going Down to Maysville."
