PALLET ON THE FLOOR. Old-Time, Country Ragtime/Blues. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is only distantly musically related to the African-American blues tune of the same title (usually "Make Me a Pallet on the Floor") copyrighted in 1923 by W.C. Handy. Versions were also recorded by the Leake County Ramblers (as "Make Me a Bed on the Floor") and The Dixie Ramblers (as "Franklin County Blues").
