POST OFFICE, THE. AKA - "Tig-Coimead Litire." Irish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune has been suggested as a relative of the famous American hoe-down "Turkey in the Straw," but the resemblance is fleeting at best. Still, the tune is sourced to Francis O'Neill himself, and it may be that he picked it up not in Ireland but in the United States, prior to coming to Chicago.
