Upperchurch is a small village in North Tipperary, Ireland, that lies in the Slievefelin Hills, between Thurles and Limerick. Source Billy Clifford (originally from Kerry) lived in Upperchurch.
Source for notated version: Breathnach copied the tune from a ms. either compiled by or in the possession of David Collins, Abbeyfeale, County Limerick (passed on to Breathnach by fiddler Tom Barrett, Listowel, County Kerry, who is credited as a source for tunes in CRÉ 4).
