WIGHT’S REEL. Canadian, Reel. Canada, Prince Edward Island. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title is Ken Perman's name for the tune he collected. Perlman (1996) notes that Mr. Wight’s tune is probably a hybrid, and that the first strain is quite similar to Maritime fiddler Don Messer’s processing of the American old-time tune “Billy in the Lowground (1).”
