PAXTON'S HUMOUR. AKA and see "Prudente (La)." English, Country Dance Tune (12/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The country dance tune was printed on the Continent by Robert Daubat as "La Prudente" twenty years after its appearance as "Paxton's Humour" in Walsh's c. 1737 publication.
