ROSIE FINN’S FAVOURITE. Irish, Quadrille or Single Jig (12/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See also the cognate single jig “Biddy the Darling." Bronx fiddler Martin Mulvihill issued it on his 1986 album "Humors of Glin" under the title "Martin Wynne's," perhaps a miss-hearing of "Rosie Finn's." However, the tune began in the early 19th century as an English country dance tune called "Sadler's Balloon", in 6/8 time.
