WOOD DUCK, THE. American, Country Dance Tune or Waltz. A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Fried de Metz Herman (Larchmont, NY) in 1978, inspired by mallards he was kind enough to have fed during the blizzard of February, 6 7, 1978 ("the beauty of his feathers defies description").
