GIGUE DU DIAMANT BLEU. AKA and see "Flat Foot Reel," "Reel du diamant bleu." French-Canadian, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'C. A version of "Flat Foot Reel" published in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883). "Diaman Bleu" is said to have been inspired by Madame Édouard Bolduc's song "Les agents d'assurance" [1] (as has "Gigue à Freddy" and "Reel du cordonnier/Shoemaker's Reel."
