ROCHELLE, LA. French, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Identified as a "French Air" in Hamilton's Universal Tune Book vol. 1 (1842). Fr. John Quinn notes the similarity between "La Rochelle" and "Morpeth's March," printed in Boston by Elias Howe in the mid-19th century.
