Composed by flute player Vincent Broderick (1920-2008), originally from Bullaun, near Loughrea, County Galway, near by the Turoe Stone, a famous Iron Age monument. Carramore bog lay next to the family homestead, a light could be seen from the house at nighttime from the bog.
