LONG EIGHT, THE. AKA and see "Haste to the Wedding (1)." English, Jig. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The Long Eight, or Cumberland Long Eight, is the name of a country dance, for which many tunes would be suitable accompaniment.
