It was printed under the "Mick O'Connor" title in Bulmer and Sharpley's Music from Ireland, vol. 4 in 1976, however, the reel is a actually a Paddy Taylor composition called "Katie Taylor," although it is also similar to County Roscommon flute player Josie McDermott's "Lansdowne Lass (The)."

Source for notated version: London banjo player Mick O'Connor [Bulmer & Sharpley]. O'Connor was Bulmer & Sharpley's source for the tune, but had himself learned it from Paddy Taylor.

Printed sources: Bulmer & Sharpley (Music from Ireland), 1976; vol. 4, No. 20.

Recorded sources: Kells Music 9509, Mike and Mary Rafftery - "The Dangerous Reel" (appears as "Rafferty's Mustache"). Green Linnet SIF 1095, Altan - "Horse with a Heart" (appears as untitled last tune of first track, referred to as "another northern reel"). Shanachie SHA 65005, Seamus Egan - "A Week in January."
